Meet Tom
For over 20 years, I have supported clients through my integrative approach to exercise, musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation. I view the body as an integrated system and my treatment toolkit blends manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, rehabilitation and joint mobilisation to treat the whole person, rather than focusing solely on the source of pain. This helps to address the deeper, underlying contributors of dysfunction and pain.
I am blessed that I found my calling to help people in my early 20s when I became a personal trainer. After many years coaching people, I branched off in the field of sports and remedial massage before completing my Masters of Chiropractic. I am trained in CHEK, DNS and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and I integrate these modalities to create personalised treatment and rehab plans to get you back doing what you love - whether that’s elite sport, weekend recreation or everyday movement.
I have worked collaboratively with strength and conditioning coaches for over 17 years to support them in developing their knowledge of relevant movement screens and assessments, ways to modify exercises for injured clients (and for injury prevention) and have led mobility workshops for coaches and their clients.
I love strength & conditioning training, CrossFit and martial arts and enjoy trail running, skateboarding and surfing. I personally know the demands of these sports and have helped many athletes in these domains - and other sporting fields - recover from injuries.
I work best with people who work with me and understand that I can only give you the tools to support yourself and that, ultimately, you need to put them to work.
